What is OBD?
OBD is an advanced computer system installed in your car that monitors engine functions and other critical components. The system is designed to detect faults and issues that could affect the vehicle’s performance and emissions.
The Importance of OBD:
Safety and Performance: Early detection of faults leads to better maintenance and extends the vehicle's lifespan.
Environmental Protection: OBD helps identify and correct emission-related issues, contributing to a cleaner environment.
Cost Efficiency: Managing potential issues early can reduce the need for expensive repairs over time.

Diagnostic Port
The vehicle is equipped with a diagnostic port that allows a workshop to connect to the car and communicate with its systems. The diagnostic port is of the OBDII type and is located on the underside of the dashboard, near the driver’s seat.
In the event of an engine fault, the engine warning light on the instrument panel will illuminate. To retrieve the fault code, you can contact your GM Performance Parts dealer, who can use the diagnostic link connector in the fuse/relay center (with a Tech2 device set to GM Performance Parts Diagnostics).
In exceptional cases, you can also use various aftermarket diagnostic tools such as HP Tuners, EFI Live, Autel, Tech2, and many other devices that support Chevrolet as a vehicle brand in their respective vehicle selection menus for fault code reading and diagnostics.
